| PHILADELPHIA KOREAN WAR MEMORIAL INVITATION TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC The Board of Directors of the Friends of the Philadelphia Korean War Memorial at Penn’s Landing cordially invites the general public to attend the Rededication of the Philadelphia Korean War Memorial to be held at the Memorial on Saturday, October 7, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. On June 22, 2002, the Memorial was dedicated to honor our 610 Servicemen who died in combat during the Korean War from the five county areas of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia. In the year 2004, the Memorial was awarded a grant to make major alterations to the Memorial. The entire site has been modified with granite and enlarged to accommodate the many families, Veterans and supporters of the Memorial as well as the Republic of Korea Veterans. Retired Brigadier General Uzal W. Ent, an Infantry Combat Veteran and author of the definitive book on the Pusan Perimeter “Fighting on the Brink – Defense of the Pusan Perimeter” will be the keynote speaker. It is our sincere hope that you will join us on this historic occasion. We would also request that any individual or group intending to place a wreath notify the office of the Memorial listed below in order that we may recognize each and every one. For additional information, please contact the office of the Memorial. The Philadelphia Korean War Memorial |
